G'Day,
I was heading back to Adelaide along Main South Road from Noarlunga this afternoon. Cruising along through the intersection with Doctors Rd. Anyway, it had a combined fixed Red Light/Speed camera setup on the 'other' side of the road, basically facing me but on the opposite footpath. The thing flashed as I went through. Now... does anyone know if this thing is likely to have flashed at myself, or at other traffic heading Southbound through the intersection?? It seemed unusual if it was set up to capture vehicles on the opposite side of the main road, but I am not too sure... ? Cheers, Kruegs |

Well I hope so... if that's the case I shouldn't see a ticket in the post!
If I do, I'll be sure to post the outcome on here, and get hold of the photos. Cheers, Kruegs |

mkrueger - The new speed cameras can be setup to get people travelling in both directions - it depends on how many lanes the targetting device can cover. or is set up to cover. Fines generally take beteen 7 & 21 days to reach you - let us know how you go

Hey mate,
The camera at that intersection is dodgy at the best of times. Me and my mate have been flashed going through that intersection on a green light, while doing the speed limit. If you werent speeding, you will be fine. Wiggy |

Thanks Wiggy,
I looked down at my speedo shortly after (after checking the intersection first incase someone was running a redlight!) and all looked in order. Guess I'll just wait and see! Cheers, Kruegs |

I've been flashed by the new one's but have never been fined. I too noticed I wasn't speeding/going through on orange before the half second delay.
Found out they're having big problems with radar cameras due to the number of court cases. It's been a long time since I've seen a speed camera in Adelaide parked on the side of a road. Even though the Aussie Speeding Fines site has sold only about 10,000 copies of their book, starting to wonder if it is having an effect on the court system like they said it would... |
