Not in real life but there's plenty of info on the net.

Absolutely awesome engine, all alloy and DOHC yet after WW2 Ford then went and made old cast iron pushrod engines for its succession of cars

They are now sought after in the US for mods and transplants etc but $25K is a big ask even for one in Oz.

Interesting
370Kw & 1400NM @ 2,200RPM the GAA was the largest mass-produced gasoline V8 engine in the world.

I though shermans ran on diesel and the Wehrmacht's tanks ran on petrol, as in the low gasoline mileage of the TIGER was its Achilles heal.

In a nut shell:

US Marine M4A2's, Russian and British lend lease & NZ, Canadian, and Polish European theatre Sherman's were Diesel.

US Army Western European area of Operations were Petrol, for the most part M4A3 family ( hence the Ford V8 ).

Speaking of tank engines check out this beast,

Chrysler A57 Multibank. 5 inline sixes around a common crankcase.

image the bad mileage, would need massive fuel tanks and i would be pooing myself if a shell hit the tank, being petrol and all.

Euro Shermans were nick-named "Ronsons" by the germans. Lights first time.
