Looks like a little animal.
Can you get any DVD's over previous Pikes? Would make interesting viewing.

Also if you Google Ford Fiesta Pikes Peak and/or Marcus Gronholm you're bound to get more info.

I love the excess of Unlimted Class Pikes Peak cars. The things I'd do to have an 800hp Duratec...

Okay, Just had a look at motorsport.com and it says the Race was won by the Suzuki SX4 in a time of 10min15.3sec with Marcus coming in 5th Overall with a time of 11.28.9
It also says him Team mate had slid off at the 2 Mile Mark and damaged the Fiesta and had to retire it. Bummer!

Pikes Peak is on my "Bucket List" along with a Nurburgring 24Hr and a Monaco Grand Prix as races I'd love to attend.

Not sure how to break this to you fellas, but the only things in common with our Fiestas and that car are the body (including glass), lights, name (Fiesta with "Duratec" engine) and badge (Ford).
Just look at the engine bay: http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/ford...pikes-peak/#50 And the interior: http://www.autoblog.com/gallery/ford...pikes-peak/#49 The winning Suzuki was even faster than all the motorcycle entries (due to superior downforce). They could just as well have put that mechanical package in a Yaris and called it a Yaris. It must have cost $500,000+ |
