he did'nt keep the boot in the throttle was stuck wide open he hit the kill switch as soon as he realised what was going on..

it also says that he hit his head on the steering wheel when it came back down and his foot jammed the throttle.....

i know thats what happend sorry to dissapoint you.. this is the story car left the line started going up as it normaly does the car hit the wheelie bars and they broke he kept the power down as he did'nt wanna drop the car destroying the whole under side of the car the car came down very hard as you can see, then when the car settled down he let the pedal up and the car did not stop then once he realised it was still on the gas he hit the kill switch and killed the engine.. ok this is a u7 sec car how long do you think all that took and how far would you think he'd be down the track..
