Default Cruise to Comboyne / Borganna Nature Reserve

The Mid North Coast Ford Owners Club will be holding a cruise to Comboyne on the 29th of April. We will be meeting at the food for less car park Port Macquarie at 10:00 am. A BBQ lunch will be provided by the club........Gold coin donation per person for all the sausage sandwiches you can eat, $2.50 per steak sandwich, and $1.00 per can of soft drink. These prices are for members and there invited guests and those who are coming along for the first time, if you have been on a run before and you are not a member.....don’t worry, $8.00 will get you 2 sausage sandwiches and 1 steak sandwich and a soft drink.....still a great price. You do not need a street machine to come along or join the club, all that is needed is your Ford vehicle and yourself to meet new people and to have lots of fun. If you do not have a ride for the day please let us know so we can get a seat for the day, contact any club committee member for a seat.Hope to see all you guys and gals there.

Looks like I'll be there at this stage, but the car might not be totally up to scratch.

Helped a mate move house over the weekend and he got too close with the truck comin up the street. Not happy, but these things happen. In a way I'm just lucky it's no more than a massive (and deep!) scrape across the front bumper... Another 2mm closer and it would have been bye bye bumper :(

Any recommended panelbeaters in Port before I start ringing around anyone?

Hey killerjoolz, how much for that XR8 front end? lol. I'd have to try to convince the other half to let me spend money. The real tricky part is convincing her I need a Venom kit... I'd love one of those ;)

Thanks Joolz, let me know how it goes. I may be interested, just weighing up my options (and funds!) at the moment.

Thanks Neil, will do. Got a couple of quotes yesterday for tidying up a few other bits on the car too. Not too expensive, as long as I don't go crazy, lol.

How is the XY going? When are we gonna see it on a run?

Went down to spray paint perfections yesterday. He gave me the best price so far, so looks like I'm goin down there. Might even have it done before this cruise.

Got to see Tex's car in progress. Also saw a black V8 capri he had in there (It's a fair monster of an engine). Tells me the owner is thinking of selling too. If only I had that kind of money.. mmmm.

That capri is Matt's...one of the guys that i work with...$20K will get you behind the wheel. Did you mention about being in the club, as ive known Clint for a few years now and ive already had a chat to him about discounts to club members. You will not find a better gun man than Clint, he has won quite a few awards for spay painting, he really does do a fantastic job, he will be re-spraying the XB when time comes around.

Default Important Update on CRUISE

Important info that we have sorted out today is that the route taken to Comboyne. As stated earlier in this thread that some will be waiting at Que for us to come through, if you do that you will be waiting a long time, as that way to Comboyne starting at Que will end up in 10 K's of dirt road. The route that will be taken on the day is through Wauchope, where there will be another meeting place at Timbertown carpark at aprox 10:50 arive, then continue along the Oxley highway and take the turn off to Byabarra then out to Comboyne, where we will be going a few K's out of town to Borgarna reserve, there is a 400 meter walk from our picnic site to the waterfalls....very nice spot. But the best bet for you guys and gals from south is to take the highway up to bago road and turn left to head to Wauchope, when arriving at Wauchope turn left onto Blackbutt road, follow it all the way to the end and turn left again onto High street, travel 1 Klm down the road and on the left will be Timbertown carpark. But if you guys want to come into Port for our first meet, all is ok, one of the two points will work on the day.
