Default Driver cops a 'canary' but acts like a galah

Surprised no-one else has posted this interesting link.

"Two days later, under his user-name MR-GTIR/S15, John shared his Saturday night experience with users of the nissansilvia.com car club internet chat room and boasted of his getaway.

He wrote: "Saturday night, cruising through Chaps looking for a car park so I can go 2 Chasers! The usual cops that are always kickin back in front of Chasers/KFC, wasting taxpayers money … "I got done for having 2 semi-racing slicks on the back which were a little bit bald! Motherf---ers. It was 11pm. The officer gave me till midnight to get the car home or it would have to be towed! I tried negotiating with him 2 let me drive it tomorrow, but didn't happen."

So there you go guy's . watch what you say on a public forum & don't brag about what you've done . So don't be hard on the "Mods" if they edit your posts , it just might save your "Butt & your Licence"

Yeah exactly, normxb, that's why I posted it as we should be careful what we write as you never know who is watching.

The guy in question was very lucky to have been allowed to drive home in the first place, yet he abused the chance, so karma got him in the end.

I've never once had any dramas in my current car with the police thankfully, but then again I have learnt alot from when I was a little younger.

LOL at St Albans! They all seem to be from there, is it some sort of wannabee ghetto? Isn't that where the guy that killed Hooksey is from?
He says that he rocked all night! What a cool guy.
Semi slicks or just worn tyres?

To the tune of the Joker:
Some people call me MAURICE.......'cause I speek, on the Nissan Silvia forums....
I'm a joker, Im a smoker, Im am all night rocker....I take my roof off in the sun.

I think its more a case of sloppy police work not good police work, they should have checked his license etc in the first place, to work it out after the fact is pretty lame in reality.

LOL

After reading that thread its good to see that not all import drivers are tools, although a fair majority sounds like try hards.

Yes a bit of tardy work by the policeman in the first place. In NSW the first thing they ask for is your licence. But good work getting the goose off the road as well.

Acting Sergeant Robbins told The Age the unit monitored car club websites as an intelligence-gathering exercise to follow car modifications, user conversations and to "monitor specific individuals".

Sounds like another good warning not to post about the mods on your car accompanied by a photo

If you do then you deserved it, if not then I wouldn't be calling up and complaining..LOL

There is no need to worry about police monitoring if you dont do dodgey stuff, simple as that.

John, who regards himself as a "spirited driver" rather than a hoon, later told The Age he was "shattered"._
must remember that comment NOT A HOON JUST A SPIRITED DRIVER

Default Watch what you post on the internetz!

Well, I'm not sure if this has been posted but here goes..

It's all been said so many times but no evidence to back up the claims (I never doubted though) ... here is some evidence .. :P

http://www.theage.com.au/news/nation...733764512.html

Quote:
Driver cops a 'canary' but acts like a galah

MAURICE John has learned a useful lesson — don't sing when you get a canary.

The car-crazy 22-year-old from St Albans collected a police "major defect notice" in South Yarra that deemed his Nissan 200 SX convertible unroadworthy. The yellow notice — known as a "canary" — was stuck to his windscreen by Acting Sergeant James Robbins of the Stonnington traffic management unit.

Two days later, under his user-name MR-GTIR/S15, John shared his Saturday night experience with users of the nissansilvia.com car club internet chat room and boasted of his getaway.

Other than cops monitoring these sites, I wonder what other sites they are monitoring with tax payers money?

If your posting pics of your car, make sure u always blank out your number plate. I always try to. Dont make it easier for them to nab you.

I don't what the problem is, well deserved too.

But before claiming fame to the find, you might want to see that someone already has posted this
