I went into a healthfood store to get some fat metabolisers to help me lose weight while im exercising and got sold these. After 3 hours and only one pill im an absolute wreck, extremely violent, racing heart, etc. I got my money back but id just like to see if anybody else has had bad side effects? I am a healthfood store virgin Cheers for any replies |

yeah theyre crap, if you got that effect you must have a low tolerance to caffeine.
What are you trying to achieve? Is it just weight loss?

reguardless of how look at it, theres not easy way of losing weight - well at least safely and long term beneficial results. It all comes down to metabolism, healthy eating and exercise.

drink coffee, its actually good for you.
Be careful of what your sold from health food shops. Just cause peoplel work there, doesnt mean they know what their talking about. Theres an overgrown hampster who takes my monkey at the shop i buy protein from.

i may be a big liar saying i dont take caffene,i sometimes drink tea and i think that has caffene.
i dont like the taste of coffee,i do like the smell though. A few years back i was diagnosed with mild hyperactivity and anything that makes you get up and go just about blows my head off |

Yeah unfortunatley the seriously raised anger levels, headaches and feeling lathargic are a real downer.
From what ive read just as many people have issues as people that dont have issues. Black tea has around 40 mg of caffeine per cup and coffee has around 80mg according to a site i looked at(approximate levels) I may just change my user name to the cadbury kid. |

The whole hydroxy named products that say they make you lose weight have side effects like what you experienced. They raise your heart rate, increase your temperature and increase your metabolism so it makes your body feel like its exercising. So just doing your day to day activities burn fat. An easy way to lose fat is to watch your calories. If your intake of calories is higher then the amount of calories you burn your going to put on weight. If you burn more then you have your going to lose weight. Stop eating things with high levels of saturated fats and salt.

I get really edgy on caffeine products, but eating before you take them helps a lot.

If you're serious about losing fat read the link below, I followed that and lost about 20 - 25 kg in less than a year. Since then I've put on at least 5kg (not fat).

This stuff can be very dangerous with long term use.
My nephew started using these products years ago and is a ticking time bomb now. he is massive, no neck, his face is bright red and looks as if he is about to pop. he sleeps with a pedestal fan running flat out over his face and still sweats like he's run a marathon. I have a mate who uses the same gym as my nephew, he's on the stuff too. When i first met him he was overweight, but a gentle giant. Last time i spoke to him his speach was barely understandable, as if his mind was running at 100 miles an hour. I asked him how he lost so much weight so fast, he told me about the tonic he takes to speed up his metabolism and give him motorvation. He then went on to try and convince me it hadnt changed him as a person like everyone is telling him, unfortunately what ever he is taking hasnt enhanced his intellect as the side effects are blatantly obvious, he's a basket case. I wouldnt touch the crap regardless of its benefits. |

A couple of mates of mine have used it
The one who tried the old one got ripped with them, 150g protein per day, 2hr weight sessions and eating many small meals The one who had the new formula had heart palpatations, intense stomach pain and insomnia. People have also died from taking it. Steer clear of the diet pills, they're for hardcore body builders and competition athletes. Try some cross fit training and exercises that make you pull or support your own bodyweight and you'll get in shape quick. Weights in a full body session for an hour in a circuit fashion, then 15min brisk walk or low intensity jog will give you the cardio you need and promote the growth of your muscles continuing after a workout. Muscle growth causes faster metabolising of food, which burns fat. Use science to do it ;) |

I lost 20kgs in less then 3 months... How? I cut my portion sizes right down, to almost half. I rode 20kms a day when i was rostered off work. So maybe 3 days per week on average, some times more...
For the last 3 months, i've just done weights and put on lean mass (still weighing the same, but losing some fat). Still got about 10 or so kgs to lose to really rip up. So i'll start my riding again now that it's getting warmer. For anyone interested, there is also a supplement called 1,3 dimethylamylamine (it's in Jack3d in small doses). It's a slight energy enhancer, and helps to increase metabolism. Be careful taking it if you're in any serious sport that gets drug tested, as i'm pretty sure it's on the wada banned list. I've tried it, and when stacked with caffeine or Jack3d it gives a really good boost. My workouts are much more intense, and a lot more focussed. It's not a supplement to take for lengthy periods of time. I'll only use it very sparingly, or when i'm a little tired and need a bit of a boost in energy/motivation to train. |
