Hi, I am taking out my auto box in my mk2 escort and fitting a 4 speed does anyone know the length difference on a one piece tailshaft, been told the 4 speed is shorter.

The parts book is giving different part numbers between auto and manual so looks like they're different but can't say for sure.
If its any help my manual measures approx 1230mm from the diff flange to the end of the g'box extension housing
