I lost power in my sockets, could not find a problem anywhere! But....On the back of the sockets in a fusible link! A small black one, Bypass that and all is good! ( they also have fuses )....
Thought i'd share that as its a tricky one if you didn't know it was there! |

Careful you dont overload the wiring and melt something, they put fuses and things in for a reason.

There are fuses for the overloading also mate. I cooked both of mine using a compressor! ( fusible links that is ) LOL!

12V and 10A max usually for a cigarette lighter, although, Mercedes Sprinter ones are rated to 25A.

The fuse is there to protect the wiring. The plug will most likely take more then the 10A (if that is what's written on it). An OEM wouldn't risk melting a connector otherwise they would have put a 10A fuse in there.
