Following the trend from previous years, What are your plans for your pride and joy this year?
My plans are: -Downsize from 20" advanti's to S1 tickford 17's (chuck the 20's on the parents territory for lols) -Have the front left qtr resprayed -Change interior light from purple to green -Re-do green dash lights from LED to brighter SMD globes -Cut the exhaust tip back or replace it with a new one -Dummy fit the bodykit i have and decide whether its worth wasting more money on. -If the kit goes ahead will look at a cam ^ should do for a year |

Based on my past performances I am going to be more realistic about my 2012 plans.
As such, they are as follows: - change engine oil - vacuum interior |

Being a black car in Melbourne, washing it every weekend for starters.
Im going to go through the front brakes, and suspension, as theres some creaking going on. Other than that, most of my work will be on the ZD this year. |

I think I'll leave well enough alone for the most part, you know the old saying, " if it ain't broke, don't fix it" lol
About the only thing I'll be looking to do is put some new shocks on both Fords through the year when time and funds permit. Most of my time and effort will be going into tweaking the fish'n bus. Wider wheels, bigger exhaust, pump up the turbo boost a tad and a 2" lift, not necessarily in that order. Bushbasher

Perhaps some plastic surgery, breast implants etc.
Oh! you mean the AU? Been replaced by a G6E but I'm kinda having trouble bring myself to selling the old girl (car or missus). Maybe I'll just keep it (car and missus) |

Rather than my usual 'sell her' (like i've said for the past two or three years!), i'm going to go with 'keep her keeping on'.
This 'three year car' has now been with me for double that and is rapidly turning into a car for life.

Realistic goals for the end of 2012...
Lowered - New springs, Leafs, Shocks, and Nolathane kit throughout. Stereo - Finish it off as its half done. Re-do sub box (smaller, configured better, and ported instead of sealed) New headunit. Possibly new front stage (I think I "may"have blown the front left from the existing sound stage. Thats the realistic goals. Possibly start purchasing some wheels/go faster bits depending on what comes up and at what price. I already have new Edelbrock heads sitting in my Garage. So an intake, zorst and lumpy cam would go well with them. |

Well if 2011 is anything to go by my plans will definitely change. But as follows is the key plan
- Finally convert the wagon to a V8. - Fit the Fairlane dash and interior. Some parts already started. - Fit the entire stereo (really do sub box, fiberglass rear trim tobfit 6x9's) - stop the exhaust rattle - Replace the rear shocks - Finish installing BA Ariel and delete the front Ariel - Get a fairmont this lip for the bottom of the front bumper That should keep me pretty dam busy. Plus keep it clean and enjoy it. Only problem is being my last year of uni plus trying to find a fulltime job may make finding the time difficult. But only time will tell.

Well for me I am trying to cut down on the spending on my car as much as I can considering Im building a house this year.
But if I can get the following done this year, I will be stoked. Fit 5 sp conversion Fit short shifter during conversion New 3" exhaust system 2 bar map sensor xcal3 retune. Try and hit min 220rwkw mark with unopened motor. I am expecting to spend about 2-3k+ to get this all done. Anything more than this will be a bonus.

In order:
- Install short shifter (that I've had for months but realised I can't do myself) - CAI upgrade - Upgrade / upsize front brakes and braided lines (BF XR8 I think) - Full Exhaust - Any recommendations? - Suspension upgrades (maybe) Providing I can find the money

Well 2011 I did absolutely nothing AU-wise, so this year there's going to be a few things happening, and all pretty soon as well!
Engine & Driveline - Install 3.45 diff & speedo cog (got these yesterday ) - Install MACE upper and lower manifold insulators (got them already) - Full coolant flush and replace all hoses (got a full Gates hose kit for CHEAP several months ago) - Install magnetic oil drain plug (got it already) - Replace coilpack Handling - Install Whiteline 27mm front swaybar (got it already) - 4 new tyres & front wheel alignment - Replace front wheel bearings - Replace front ball joints Aesthetics - replace headlight globes with Xenon Blue ones (got them already) - replace crappy LED parkers for higher quality LED parkers (got them already) Other - New brake pads - machine the brake discs - clean the throttle body - re-gas the A/C Down the track later this year - window tint and another full detail. Then, if everything else is done - might get some vinyl signage made up to get the car working for me as a promotional vehicle!

Probably nothing exept for tint. Once a house is purchased, should cop a manual conversion, exhaust, extractors, cam.
Can anyone recomend a shock/spring combo that rides decently while still sitting nice on 19s? And does anyone else have the problem of their car sitting much lower on the drivers side? |

Yeap Im another one that is going to raise to near stock height.
Other than that not much, maybe a new head unit although I dont want to really get rid of the stock one as aftermarket never looks as good...but I am over ad breaks.
