Default Internet Writing...

learn it, use it, love it

It's probably a : but anyway,

With all the griping about so-called 'newbies' that's been going on on AFF lately (perpetrated by myself, also) I thought this bit of essential internet knowledge was worth sharing. Check it out.

Thanks to Teckademics for bringing it to my attention. :

Remove the pic GSWXA before the mods remove you...

It's a goodie, but that pic has got other people in strife before.

Ironically, the directions on how to properly utilise the internet are hosted on an AOL server. -_- Poor show :P

WTFBBQ? I dont no wat u r tryng 2 sey?!?

Hehehe.

Seriously, good point, if you have a proper keyboard in front of you (like most of us here would), there is no real excuse for using SMS style language, and it only serves to annoy people.

On the subject of spelling, for those of you who are like me and aren't brilliant at spelling, you could always install and use iespell (for those of us still using Internet Explorer) or SpellBound (for browsers based on Mozilla, such as Firefox or Netscape).

Hehehe, I know what you mean, but in a way it makes sense - it's easier to find for other newbies who are using AOL (and lets face it, to choose AOL you'd have to be a newbie), as well as the fact that AOL probably isn't going to vanish off the face of the planet any time soon due to their sucess compared to many other providers, no matter how much we would like it to be gone tomorrow.
