The girl has done me proud on her last night up at the track before she finds a new home.
I only got 2 runs in due to it being so busy but as it turns out, I only needed 2. On her first run, which was straight off the street with a very hot top of the motor, she ran a 16.665 @ 104mph and a 60' of 2.1. I had a feeling it was going to be a good night as previously she would only get a 13.9-14.1 on the first run. The second run was done when I had a long delay, heaps of time to cool the induction side down. She smashed her previous PB of 13.608 by running down the track in 13.195 @ 117.13 mph, with a 2.0 60'. The time absolutely floored me, I knew she could do better than a 13.6 since edit was fitted but I was only guessing a 13.4, not a high 13.1. I think the main difference now is since edit has been fitted we have been able to reduce the torque tags which has improved the low-mid range pull heaps. Something that certainly helps with a test of acceleration like the track. To say that I am stoked is an understatement, I will be rewarding her with a good wash and clean up today, she deserves it.

Well you already know that I am as proud and stoked as you are over this result. What a way to say goodbye to Gecko with a record breaking personal best of this magnitude.
The look on your face when you got out of the car was priceless - dumb founded shock would be an accurate description. Well Done Sweetheart - now to get the GT into the 12's... |

Yeah - just watch that MPH, i think its a big call to see it backed up.
Having said that Gex, update the timeslips section - you have climbed up a long way, and leave many others in your wake. Give the forum members another rundown of your mods mate. |

Mate l think you need to wake up now and smell the coffee LOL
l can not see how you can you can run 117mph in your car even with a tail wind at 100klm hour could you post such a mph..... l think with the 60ft your car would run a mid 13 not a low 13 And with your first run a 16 and then come out and run a 13.1 after a delay l find it hard to belive when in my car l can run consistant 13.3 at 35 degress straight after each other. |

Already confirmed the 16 was a typo, I have driven the famous Gecko and well let’s just say I have to clean my pants every time I pin it at 100! I was in line to buy it but I’m not abandoning the 6's camp oh and that GT is one V8 to watch out for.....I also have a personal expirence in that and WOW id trade both my kidneys for one!
