Default looking for info the trannys for the ke

hi all i am looking for the type of cars and models that had a 5speed manual tranny that would go into a ke laser

if anyone has any infvo please reply to this thread or email me directly on

G'day mate.

KE (non turbo) Lasers use the F series gearbox. Alloy. Not very strong, but the KE's did not need a strong box as the engines are weak as ****. If you need a replacement gearbox you can pick them up very cheap.

The KE turbo's with the DOHC engine come out with the G series gearbox. Steel. Much stronger. They WILL bolt directly in. However are not cheap.

The G series gearbox's from the KF/KH DOHC's will also fit with small mods needed.

Basically if you need a strong gearbox get a G series gearbox from a FWD Turbo KC or KE Laser TX3. Expect to pay $600 minimum to $900 maximum. You will need a decent clutch and fly wheel to suit.

i found one but do not know what series it was from but they r slugging me 350 include change over

I've seen a few tranny's around Kings Cross, if that helps.
