My first thought was they looked like SAAB tail lights off the aero

EDIT; just had a look at the saab's..... dont know what i was thinking nothing alike :

The VE Maloo tail treatment looks a lot more convincing in the metal than in photos.

Don't bring the ED down to that level. The VE utes actually have more similarity to Territory taillights if anything.

Gee, VE ute has BA style headlights and Territory tail lights, you'd think a new model would be a step forward in deisign!

What ever they look like, I'm not a fan. And I'm not saying that because its a holden, I've owned a few holdens and would own another brands don't phase me. But I wouldn't by a VE ute

im on and off with VE's.. the lights are slowly growing on me tho

BUT the VE ute is the by FAR the best looking ute ever made, by a mile

VR/S lights look more like EF/EL lights (or vice versa) than what you're suggesting.

"Borrowing" design features is OK .. Ford Australia used 70's Dodge Charger hood bulge on the BA+ XR8s ..

I wouldn't call them ED tail lights.... but i saw it in the flesh at the Sydney Motor Show, and it looked even more uglier than the photo here!

I saw my first VE ute "in the flesh" yesterday. Im sorry but its horrid. It just looks like its been punched in the head from every angle; almost like its got chubby cheeks. BF's look waaay better.
