Adrian

I believe the thread was removed because it contained no images, a must for anything sold on these forums based on the nature of the transaction.

Now you did have pics to come, but it would have been just as prudent for you to send the pm to the moderator of the forums letting him know you may or may not have issues loading images.

The amount of work involved in maintaining that section of the site does not warrant thread deletion pms, the rules of what is an acceptable post is clear

thanks,
yes, i did see you had pics to come.
a tried and tested story that has been told many times before but never followed through with - not to say you werent going to do as you said either.
it is for that reason that anything with no pics will be deleted without warning.
if you can take the time to make the ad, you can take the time to take a picture.
it is a big job to moderate the for sale section i do believe there are enough stickies around that explain what is required.

Sometimes you cannot add a picture because your allotment is full.
This happened to me the other day. I went into "manage my attachments" but it said I was full.
Hense , no add.
I was happy to email off line picture to those interested people.
Cant see the reason fo MUST having a picture with your add.
I'm sure many people feel the same.

there is no reason why you cant host pictures at sites like www.photobucket.com and then post the IMG link in the thread.
Pictures are a MUST:
it proves you have the item.
it shows the actual condition (what you call good condition, others may call rubbish).
it will help you sell your item - who is going to buy things sight unseen.

again, the for sale section is a FREE area for members to use, the site doesn't make any money from it.
if you can take the time to make the ad - you can take the time to get a picture.
its a courtesy to all other users.
the rules arent hard to follow, they are there to make sales smooth and easy for all to understand.

as above, very easy to setup a photobucket account and then you can link as many pics as you like

if i had to PM everybody whose threads i have changed or edited/removed i would be sending over 100 PM's per week just from the FS forums alone

The mods in this section are doing a great job, as is AFF, for giving a free service for all of us to be able to sell our unwanted goods/cars.

The information on the sticky's points it out clear and simple.

Well done to the For Sale Mods for doing a great job. This is a service that AFF do not have to offer but do. I for one, am glad it is available. Keep up the good work guys!

I have to add after a few successful transactions, both buying and selling, that the rules and regs as well as the moderation on the for sales section of this forum are excellent compared to others I have been on. Keep up the good work.
