He was/is a “public relations consultant” with Hyundai while reviewing cars.

I have noticed a consistent song from this fella. Sometimes one needs to follow the money trail for certain things to make sense to an observer.

I am in a caravan club, some members won't go near a Ranger or Jeep. Others swear by them. No Everests. Majority of tow vehicles are Landcruisers, Prado's, 70 series and 200's. One F250 . Its peoples perception of vehicles. People knock my Captiva but it has been faultless.

One of his videos I posted comments on the need to get rid of the foul mouthed stuff and insults . He , or somebody on his behalf gave it back to me both barrels . No respect for him now . Waste of time watching his slanted vitriolic stuff . And he thinks he's funny . He isn't .

He recently said on Ch 7 that current model Kia Sorrentos don’t pose a fire risk. He was very vocal about the Ford Kuga being a fire risk. Fairly sure he’s sponsored by a Kia. He’s a grub, an unprofessional, uncouth foul mouthed grub.

Make sure you report his videos to YouTube for swearing, it's actually a really easy way for videos to be demonetised... For some reason youtube doesn't like cursing.

He is an absolute flog!
I'm embarrassed to say, this is one subject that I actually agree with him on. My Ranger hardly goes near long grass, but if it did I'd be annoyed at Ford for lack of a fix.

I wish you guys would just ignore this crap, he wants us to post here and discuss
in the hope that it spreads his message to the target audience, Ford owners. In future, please try to resist giving "oxygen" to this guy's issues. |

He does not like Fords in general, especially the Mustang.
I having a feeling that since his core business is car brokerage for clients... Ford won't give him better deals, so he puts the knife in for revenge. |

I am also sure there are other makes of vehicles that if dry grass accumulates near the exhaust a possibilty of cathcing fire, there have been warnings about this since I can remember... |

I’m not sure what the problem is with the ranger, seriously any car could be a fire risk while going through long grass.
I spent 10 years going bush in Landcruisers, doing exploration, and grass would constantly get caught between exhaust and gearbox cross member. Even bloody worse with bash plates. |

I'd have to say I can't see what some are on about as it's a well known fact that if you drive a petrol 4wd in long dry grass you have to be very careful and especially if parking as just the cat converters will most always catch it on fire never mind any stuck grass being present etc.
That Cadogan ******** is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill and is only showing his lack of basic intelligence as basic common sense and precautions are necessary in many 4WD situations. It now seems that current diesel DPF's could cause the same issue as does the location of many 4WD petrol cat converters meaning it's common sense not to park in long dry grass and I'd challenge him to go park any one of his beloved Hyundai's in long dry grass and see what happens. Either way even if Ford do come up with a different DPF location it will not be an absolute fix and still require the same dry grass precautions to be taken. What a freaking idiot. |

I've said it before on the topic of this guy, and I'll repeat it again here since you've brought up the term, but I never trust anyone that refers to themselves as an expert!!

We were warned about this for all cars in 1986 when the new-fangled CAT converters were triggering grass fires.....
Storm in a teacup for those with common sense. |

Vintage Cadogan though isn't it. A few months back he did a video - AMG C63s - DON'T BUY. Or something like that. Story went the brakes squealed on some guys C63. Benz couldn't/wouldn't fix it, so Cadogan rides to the rescue with 20 minutes of outright slander.
Turns out old mate optioned the ceramic brakes then plodded around town with them! Of course they'll squeal! |

That's right, and the Owners Manuals make mention of it as well.

This is what he was referring to on the CH7 news:
https://www.productsafety.gov.au/rec...and-xm-sorento He said the "current" model didn't pose a fire risk but as we saw on the news there is a fire risk.
