Default Mondeo 2.3 LX Auto 2012-2013

These are in car yards in Qld at 15-16k drive away with 40-50k on the speedo.

There seems to be little comment on this motor combination on the Mondeo forums.....which suggests this model could be a reliable bus albeit a little thirst heavy and slow.

15-16 k for a 2012 -2013 model some with still 15 months of warranty seem a good buy.

What are peoples comments on the 2.3 auto Mondeo.

2.3 auto was pretty much average on power and fuel economy, and there were plenty of well build Asian vehicles around at the time which were in direct competition. Over all it's not a bad vehicle pretty much on par with the others models, but the ecoboost petrol and diesel engines just gave it a bit better shine.

still don't know about the DCT powershift trans but ultimately it's not a systemic issue like VW's DSG. If it's in good nick and you like it, bargain....Haggle the price though to keep it in your favour.

I know when I took my wife to test-drive one, we had not even hit the road, and she said "we're not buying this...".
When we test drove the diesel, she was sold!
