Hey guys just wanted to see if there were any DKM fans on the forum? I was just havin a listen to em and getting pumped to go see em on the 25th. To anyone who hasnt heard em they are a "folk punk" band they mix old school punk with the likes of bagpipes, mandolin and piano acordian, they are from boston but are very irish influenced. They carp on alot of these so-called punk band that are arround atm.

I had a lot of their music on my mp3 list on my old pc, never though to get any of it when i got my new pc.
Was this one song that I used to absolutely love, can't remember the name though or any of the words, was awhile ago.

I dont mind Murphs either, used to despise him, but he's earnt my respect, and are we that ford biased that we can't say that ambrose was a hot headed ****er? He's an awesome driver and i have bought some of his merchandise but as a person i'm not so keen on him
Oh and on topic..yeah i dig the Drop Kick Murphys! haven't heard much from them recently though.. |

By my count I'm number ten, love em. Also like Black 47 who have a similar style although probably a bit less punk.
Regards, Tote

Aye 'tis a rocky road to dublin!
Big murphys fan here, saw them live about 2 years ago and loved it. Dunno if i'll get to the show this time around. Their version of Fields of Athenry is brilliant! Wasnt heaps impressed with the latest album. Cool little bit of trivia... the murphys rejigged an old boston song (tessie?) and this was picked as the anthem for the boston red sox (2004 or 2005). Think the sox ended up winning the world series! Also their song "time to go" featured on one of the tony hawk playstation games...
