Default Cadillac Unveils 415kw Coupe

Cadillac has unveiled a new 415kW V8 coupe that may eventually be seen in Australia.

It's still uncertain when the Cadillac brand will be reintroduced to Australia after last year's aborted attempt, but, if it returns, buyers might be tempted by this new American rival for the BMW M3.

The CTS-V Coupe debuts at next week's Detroit motor show and is a high-performance version of the Cadillac CTS two-door unveiled last year.

Power (415kW) comes from a supercharged 6.2-litre V8 also used in the CTS-V sedan, with gearbox choices comprising a six-speed manual and six-speed auto.

Stopping power comes courtesy of Brembo performance brakes, while the suspension features magnetically adjustable dampers.

The range-topping Coupe also gains V-series design cues such as a bonnet bulge, 19-inch alloy wheels and a double grille that doubles the volume of air the car can swallow.

The CTS-V goes on sale in North America later this year, carrying a price tag of about US$64,000 ($70,000).

Yeah onya drive. It "may" come to Australia.

Even if caddy comes here eventually they wont bring in the ctsv, will cost too much to homologate for the number sold.

Soooo, $64000 us. So take into account fees, exchange rate, taxes, shipping, taxes, conversion to right hand drive, taxes, dealer fees, LCT, and some taxes, it will be around $200 000?

It'll never get here, but I like the way it looks. Very F-117ish.

Too many pointy edges for me. You could have your eye out just looking at it.

Funny thing actually my parents just bought a new Renault Kangoo and the dealer business card included Hummer and Cadilac Emblems on the card? possibly cards from when Caddy's were suppose to come here maybe?
