Homemade stuff

Hi everyone

Noticed at local markets there's a lot of homemade stuff/signs/decorations and also noticed homemade cards.

How successful are people selling them do they make a lot money

How would you go listing homemade cards and handmade stuff on ebay and how successful would it be noticed a few do it

The wife of the old bloke at work makes cards and sells them, I dunno for how much, but greg came to work happy today because he sold a few of his hand built model train carriages for 1300 at a model train show. He spends a lot of spare time making that stuff.

IMO it's one of those things, if you make it to make money you'll probably make none.

If you make them because you are passionate about it and give them away to friends and family you'll end up building some sort of empire as people seek you out for your product.

I don't thing Ebay is a great place to sell cards or anything home made to be honest.

What could you make that'll be likely to sell and where's best places to sell stuff

I mess around a little bit making quarter size furniture for SWMBO dolls.People have said,why not make more and sell them at the local market.Well if I took something that Iv'e spent a day or more making to the market,and got offered $10 or $15 I reckon I'd snot someone.Generally people have no idea how long some of these little projects take.

... drugs and the street... not really. Depends on your interests and if you have a market place. If you live in Byron Bay and can make dream catchers, you would probably profit

I know a guy in Austria that handmakes miniature steam-trains (that actually function). It has been a labour of love for him but from what I understand he has now made a viable business from this hobby.

I was going to try selling myself on eBay as a homemade Gigolo, but postage and handling was too expensive

I'm a firm believer in the " Hands On " method

I enjoy going to craft markets, seeing quality products and paying a premium for them. I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. If i'm able to talk/meet the person how made the product, you've got me sold...
