I dunno.. Lincoln Continentals are cruisers the low rumble of a big block V8 is what you should hear.

I'll give another vote to the old big block.
Personally, I like the old MEL motors. Though very different in many respects to the 385 series, they share some interesting dimensions. Also, in some respects it has some similarities to the FE/FT series (which is my favourite Ford engine series), except it does not share the FE characteristic of the intake encompassing a good portion of what is usually cylinder head. Check out the "airgap" intake on this thing. |

Love the car man and really appreciate the work you've done to it, well done to you! In saying that, I would've preferred the original engine too. Just a V8 boy at heart I suppose... the sight, sound, smell and public reaction, love it, can't beat it IMHO

Love seeing Barra turbos in US cars.
I reckon they would be great in a modern Mustang. Don't know about the pod filter bolted directly onto the turbo though. |

Google it - you might find it is exactly what you think it might mean.

I agree, whilst i appreciate the effort that has gone into this and admire the engineering, my personal preference would have been to put a 5.0 Coyote.

It’s all personal preference, his car and if it’s engineered well and is something different then more power to him. Except if he put a LS in it...yawn. Coyotes?well, let’s just say I’d go a Barra any day of the week. If it’s the rumble and presence then big block all day long.

Yes, end of the day, he owns the metal and can do what he likes with it. But that doesn't mean others are obliged to admire it, nor does it convey legitimacy upon admirers.
What exactly is there to admire? In a world where pretty much anyone can do anything to anything, surely admiration must be deserved? IMHO you need to be restoring, improving, or otherwise enhancing the vehicle. And I just can't really see how this does? A Modern DOHC Turbo 6 into a 60's classic? Nothing about that is right. |

A moment it time. Doubt it is the black Lincoln in question, as there is some blue paint on the body panels. Still nice piece of history. |

In the US they are doing 3.5 Ecoboost transplants, on the standard V6 Mustangs.
