Question How long is too long....

Been waiting over three months for a replacement rear left wheel arch splash guard and clips. Since then we have been driving the car without it. Its being replaced under ford warranty and I was told it had to come from overseas. Was wondering if anyone thought it was taking too long or is this standard.

You would hope it wouldn't take that long, but it is entirely possible..

Its FAR too long, ring them up and remind them of what you're waiting for If they are still at odds as to how much longer it willtake, then let them know you will ring ford head office. That should speed them up a little bit. My floor mats came from overseas, they only took 2 weeks. 3 months is way too long.

hey...

i saw something on the news about overseas cargo being stuck at the docks cos of some computer problem. Apparently there are alot of freight containers from overseas stuck with nowhere to go. An official said that they wont be clearing up the glitch until about just after christmas time. So since your part is coming from overseas, it could take a while longer until they reach the container your part is in.

i dont know if that helps, but it could explain your waiting.
