Default AU series 2 xr6 option questions?

Hi guys i wanted to pick the brains of everyone here. I recently picked up a series 2 au xr6 manual. Its got some sort of bodykit on it and im looking at getting the kit off and putting the body back to standard. Questions are did the povo pack series 2 xr6 coms without any side skirts or bar extensions etc? mine looks to be a no options xr6 by the build plate apart from being manual. any one got any pictures of such a car without body kits?

Hi mate, if the car wasn’t ordered with a kit then a series 2 would have come bare without any front pods, side skirts or rear bar extension. If the kit was factory fitted it would be on the build plate in the engine bay otherwise if yours has a kit and no build plate them it may have either been dealer fit or fitted later in its life.

The rear bar is the same right through series II and III.

The only difference is the bar insert, though, your may no longer have the bar insert on yours.

EDIT: Now that I have seen the pic of your car that is definitely not a factory body kit.

That all most looks like the knock off P250 bar copy, If your putting any of the factory S2 kits back on the rear the standard bar they cut about 6 " of the lower edge and sikaflex it on there to sit rite

Looks like that XR50 kit. Think it was meant to be a mix of XR and TS50. Made/sold by awc from memory.
