I have one that plugs straight into the phone, no wifi or batteries & it works great.
At $3 each grab a bunch for your friends rellos & neighbours. |

At $3 you can chuck it in the bin if it's no good.
Don't expect much clarity. If you want to go poking into cylinders what you want is a boroscope and they aren't as expensive as you might think. One thing the camera in the link is missing is some kind of mount to poke it into holes. All you can do is hold the cable.

Thanks for the replies - in the link if you select the 1.5m is $23 approx. but yeah wouldn't pay $3.
Was just buying as novelty sort of thing, general poke around engine bay under car etc. One that plugs into iPad / iPhone think be the go so don't have to worry about internet connection think one with flexible camera end so can position it accordingly and one with led lights be the go. |

Yeah if you can get a flexible head and an led go for it. Would be handy for looking under the cars too. I can't get my head under mine.

I have one of those cheap $5 ones, works a treat.
Has it's own built in LED lights, so perfect for poking around under the dash or behind the engine. Also great for poking in rust holes to see the extent of any damage from the inside.

I think they're all made in the same factory and the price difference is mainly due to being local suppliers carrying stock Vs overseas sellers, most stuff on ebay is like this.
Picture clarity is as good as it gets but my lead is like a floppy di(k so if you want to poke it into holes you will need to sticky tape it to a stick or something. |
