No but think he has copped enough from his own forum. I had a mate who decided to top up with oil for the first time and put 6 litres into a VC Commodore (he thought it was like petrol you just keep filling until it wont take anymore - he actually wanted to fill it right up, ie oil coming out of the rocker cover!!!) Then the worst part is he realised something was wrong, cause he had to go out and buy more oil (got an interesting look from the service station attendent) but then wait for it he actually tried to start it....... It did start and smoke poured out everywhere, pretty sure he got a new car after that which he also destroyed - stalled a disiel whilst doing a river crossing, water was up to the bonnet and he attempted to restart it, car had engulfed serious amounts of water at this stage

You'd think that someone with enough money to potentially own an M3 or similar vehicle wouldn't use a sock to block the oil inlet.

Actually i'd figure that the average BMW 3 series owner wouldn't be topping up oil themselves.
