A good afternoon in the ute on Sunday.
Just stopped to take a picture of the ute in the afternoon sun with a dam wall in the background when a low Nissan 200SX with the usual large exhaust extension more then cruised passed up a favourite bit of twisty tarmac. Decision, either get out of the ute and take the picture or see how fast he was actually travelling. What would an old campaigner do? I had trouble getting traction on the dirt but once on the tar got up to pace. The result was a good little drive, he pulled away from me out of the corners but he was only a boy, brake lights when you could hold it flat. I was surprised to be with him at the top but once we started down hill, it was a piece of cake. If this is how the young kids I see cruising the city streets at night handle the open road, then I say come on out, daddy will teach you a lesson. Regards Greg My ute is a roof tiling work truck.
