Hi Guys,
I recently changed the brake pads on my AU Series 1 Futura. During this process, I noticed that the black metal disc/shield (ABS sensor?) that sits inside of the rotor was covered with moist oil and dirt. I'm guessing oil is spraying from the diff/right rear axle onto this black disc? Note that the left rear wheel was fine (no oil spray). Just wondering what is involved in rectifying this? Is it an axle seal or a diff seal, is it easy to replace or am I best getting a mechanic to do it? |

You will need to remove the axle and change the brearing, seal and lock ring.
If you don't have access to a press it might be worthwhile to take it to a mecahnic and have them do the replacement. |
