Hi all how do you remove climate control panel on
a au 2 XR6 year2000? |

1. Open the glove compartment and disengage the limit pins by pulling the slides of the glove compartment inwards. Lower the glove compartment and firmly lift the right hand side corner to disengage the hinges. Manoeuvre the glove compartment from the dashboard.
2. Mark the installed position of the heater control cable in relation to the leaver and disengage the cable from the lever by opening the lock. Disconnect the heater control cable from the heater unit 3. Disconnect the vacuum supply hose from the t piece in the vacuum hose harness. Disconnect the vacuum hose harness connector beneath the air intake duct. Release the clips retaining the loom to the dashboard. 4. Tightly tape a length of string or similar to the end of the heater control cable and the vacuum hose harness to ease installation. 5. Remove the sound system. 6. Remove the screws retaining the radio surround panel. Prise the surround panel from the dashboard. 7. Partially withdraw the control panel from the dashboard and disconnect the wiring connectors from the rear of it and the cigarette lighter. 8. Remove the string from the heater control cable and vacuum hose and withdraw the radio surround panel from the vehicle. Installation is reversal of the procedure.
