Is it safe to jack the car on the "rubber seat" directly below the springs? Would it be able to support the car's weight?
Photo is taken from the rear underchassis of a Mazda 3 which is more or less the same with the Focus.  |

It'll support the weight, for sure, but DO NOT go under the car, or even close, because it'll be extremely unstable. If you're using a screw jack, use the factory jacking points, if you're using a hydraulic jack, I'd try the plate between the two suspention arms, and put jack stands where the factory jacking points are...if you're going to be under the car, make sure you've got jack stands...plenty of people have lost arms or worse from failed jacks...it's only an Oring holding 1000kg from coming straight down...

 I guess this means that an H-type lifter cannot be used for the Focus.
