Default re ef viarablelength intake

Hey people i am removing the variable length intake of my ef to use a eb-ed style intake question is does the computor have any input to the change over or is ti just the vacume controler on the front of the manifold as there is no wires or anything conected i asume it doesnt but does the computor change the maping or anything to suit the differant runner lengths ?

The ECU controls the Vacuum switch on the front. The vacuum actuator is located behind your windscreen washer bottle.

Also the Computer changes the spark maps to match the change in runner length. Changing to an EA/D manafold and using EF/L ecu often induces pinging below 3800rpm.

Steve, I'm converting an EB to EF setup, might be able to swap.

I'm guessing your going Turbo/Supercharged, and this is the reason for wanting to go to EA-D style manafold?

Yea thats right dude but im only going 6 psi boost so i want to keep the original computor the signal from the computor changing the length wont matter but the ignition timing will be a real serious issue when running boost
