did you read the article?

85% of fords debt is through their credit line.

15% is then more then covered by assets.

I think ford will be ok

only $20b for Automotive

read beyond the clickbait headline

Similarly, Ford’s automotive debt also retreated in fiscal 2022.

Since most of Ford’s debt has declined and the leverage ratio also was at its lowest level, there should not be a lot of concerns regarding Ford’s debt as of fiscal 4Q 2022.

I love these sorts of stories. Good for a laugh.

Saw a similar one recently about Toyota, and people were jumping on with their chicken little doomsday comments, when the debt was also credit related and is essentially money they have handed out in terms of car loans that haven't been paid in full yet.

I'm sure Toyota are doing fine, considering they are the biggest selling auto manufacturer, and also the most profitable.

Yeah, you see these bloggers screaming on about total debt and Altman Z scores
And then you tell them most of the debt is customer financing that makes profit.
The moment you see that bull plop you see they don’t know how to read a balance sheet
