how much money are you getting from work? =|
it seems to be a considerable sum, so just go nuts on the windsor. supercharge/turbo it/whatever.

It's a modular motor. Nothing in the AU is going to work with this. Tranny won't work, ECU wont work etc, etc.
Step 1 is to sell the AU. Step 2 is to buy a BA/BF V8 Ghia to stick the new engine in. Got to wonder if you're better off going down the local route and fitting a CAPA s/c kit to a local 5.4 BOSS motor. At least all the brackets will work with our RHD configuration. If you really want to keep the AU you need to work with a windsor. |

Just my 2 bob but why not stroke the windsor and supercharge it, you wont be dissapointed performance wise. Of course thats if you love your AU. either way its ultimately your choice but you'll get some good ideas here.Just do your research and ask questions and you'll make the right choice. You lucky bugger. :hihi:

love the idea, i am sorta walking towards that option myself ...
first of all you can reuse the transmission with the new bellhousing and clutch, unsure about the tailshaft and transmission mounts, but assuming since u need to fabricate new engine mounts you should be able to place the engine in a position where transmission mount and tailshaft may line up. as for fuel system and new fuel pump would definately not hurt. As for ECU a standalone ECU of any kind will do the job just fine, even a Haltech E6X with semisequential setup and waste spark system will do the trick just fine.
