Prompted by another thread, thought some of you may find this useful ,it's a site you can download unit converters, miles to kilometers, ci's to cc's, that sort of thing plus a whole lot more
(hope the hyperlink works)

I'm not computer savy, but tell me , does this phone have this program already installed when you buy it ,or are you simply saying you can download this programme on the phone you buy. Question is, I have just bought a new phone, and if I knew that it had convert pro allready installed ,then I probably would have paid a couple more bucks for it.

I know there are a lot of similar converts, but I have not seen a phone that comes pre programmed with this info.

My personal phone, a Nokia 2610 and my business phone, an ancient LG B2000 both have unit converters and they were both $49 supermarket mobiles.

I would be very surprised is anything these days did not have this feature. Fool around with the menu and I'm sure you will find it.

If I said I have a $179 LG Viewty, can you tell me where the convert programme may be in the menu..
(and legitimate question, I'm not being a wise guy)

Well, I just turned on the LG, the converter is in the "Fun and Tools" menu (menu tab number 7). I then scroll down to sub menu number 5, which is called 'Unit Converter'

My LG is almost 5 years old now, I'm sure the menu has changed in newer models.

I did a quick search on www.gsmarena.com and found 3 derivatives of the model you specified.

The site does not go into enough detail with its features to say if it has a converter or not.

Not an exact answer to your question I know, but just press menu on the phone and scroll through the options, it may be under a menu tab called 'Tools' or 'Applications'.

Well bugger me, look what I just found in my phone!! It's certainly not as large or complete as the ones on my desktop, but your'e right ,its in there.Imagine the money the phone makers could make if you were able to access the internet thing, and play music on them.....
Thanks yellow festiva
