Default Headlight switch bulb

i have an au fairmont and one of the headlight switch bulbs is gone can they be changed over or ive looked at them and they seem soldered in if i have to change them over can i put the flat leds in them like the bseries have in there power window lights?

I've asked this question a few times over the years... I've never managed to find anyone who knows what type of bulbs they are, let alone a source for them. Ford will just want to pay $90 for the entire switch unit, good little earner for them.

I'd be interested to hear of a retrofit with LEDs, although it would really need to be "dash-wide" so everything matches...

In my au fairmont everything is blue except clock which is a red led so u can see it however my mate whose an auto electrician claims he can do it easily an has the LEDs required not sure what he called them but I'm sure it involves soldering when I get a second switch for him to try on I'll post up the results!
