Default Kia K900

http://www.carscoops.com/2014/02/new...-420hp-v8.html

With the demise of Ford & Holden from the big sedan market in the next couple of yrs would something like this sell well here ?

Guess a Ford badge fits in the space where a Kia badge has been pried off as Ford themselves discovered in the 90s with "Ford" festiva

Well Ford and Holden can't sell many large sedans despite their brand history in this country, and in the case of Holden an up-to date, well priced product, so I doubt any one else could make a go of the segment either. The Kia looks pretty good though.

Given locally built cars accounted for 5% of sales for the last two or so years I don't think anyone will notice the difference.

Sounds big, competing with the BMW 7 Series.

Looks like a generic product of a Jaguar-Ford-Lexus-Mazda crossbred child.

It has to have a better name than K900.

Seriously, I cannot buy a car with such an emotionless name like i30,i45,k900. Corolla sounds attractive compared to them! What the eff is going on?

I must admit that I think it looks great, as do many of the recent Kias.

No it won't sell. With the exception of the few RWD die-hards who buy 2nd or 3rd hand Falcon/Commodores, no one wants large RWD sedans any more (as evidenced by the monthly car sales)...

Looks similer to this, snapped it late last year:

Not sure on the name... better suited to a motorbike!

Perhaps the Koreans are gearing up to take over when Commodore and Falcon go?? They are global models. They spent the money making the Veloster for RHD markets (when others didn't - was it that Mini wagon thinggo??) so perhaps they will be building this as well.

I agree.
Much like I blame Nirvana and Pearl Jam for killing big hair metal, I will forever blame Kia and Hyundai for killing Ford and Holden.
Not based on any facts what so ever, but it makes me feel good.
