Came across some further details on this event:
which links to their MC site here: https://www.southofheavensmc.com/pro...ax-anniversary On the subject of MM, Ford must have benefited a great deal over the years from Kennedy Miller choosing the XB GT hardtop as the hero car. Not sure if it sold many new Falcons, but it brought a lot of attention to Ford Aust.; particularly from overseas once they figured out what it actually was. |

Gave me goosebumps watching that video. Absolutely awesome to see folks keeping the movie alive, and seeing those absolutely amazing cars. Such amazing attention to detail.

I've lost count how many times I've watched the original and the best Mad Max.
There's just something about that movie that gets you . Mad Max 2 was pretty good too . Beyond Thunderdome and Fury Road that came later were fine but I still gravitate back to the original and the best . I enjoy watching the passion (still) that exists all over the world for this low budget but captivating movie that has inspired stuff like this . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGrdnp0KTLo .. The 40th Anniversary would have been incredible . Glad many got the chance to go . I'll be retired by the time the 50th is due so if that happens I'll make sure I'm there . |

One little Aussie , very low budget movie in 1979 has allowed for passion , enthusiasm , escapism , fun and creativity . Iconic is not too strong of a description for Mad Max . Look at some of these at Wasteland Weekend
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYgM6WZhj-w ... Many are amazing .Pretty great costumes too . |

My car made it onto the local news.
Whilst it's hard to tell, I have Cundilini in the passenger seat.

Well done, although if he keeps that up Cundalini will lose his other hand
