Default AUII_Forte back in an E-Series!

I thought it was time to part with the faithful old Telstar, so I've been looking round a bit lately for another Falcon. I found one this afternoon!

It's a 95 EF GLi, argon silver (I think thats what it's called), auto, bog stock with hubcaps and all, for $6990. It's only got 142,000k's on it and the best part of all is I'm getting it change-over for the TX5, not a cent is changing hands so I'm pretty stoked.

Any mods planned I hear you all ask............first thing it needs is some wheels and lowering, then when money permits I'll get an exhaust, extractors and a cam. That's probably about all, although I do have a 3.45:1 gearset sitting in the shed that I may throw in if I can find an LSD centre. If the head gasket goes, I have the head for the EA sitting there tempting me as well!

I'll get some pics tomorrow when I pick it up.

Yep argon silver is the name. That sounds like a great set o-wheels there AU. Any particular rims you've got your eye on?

Geez, you like changing cars don't you? How many is that since you've been in the club? There was the EA, EB, AU, Telstar, another EA then the EF? lol I look forward to the pics.

Don't know about rims yet, have to see whats about.

Don't worry Kenaz, my GF isn't letting me forget how many I've have and how much money I've wasted on them! I've still got the second EA, it's my main money hole. It's stripped ready for panel work/paint at the moment. I always seem to decide to get another car just after I've paid the bloody rego on them, paid the Telstar's in Dec and now trading it on the EF which is due in April!

On a side note, how hard is it to put cruise into an EF?

I'm gettin there Lisa.....very slowly! It's stripped down at the moment and I am about to start pulling the engine out soon.

The tyres on those 12 slotters are kinda shagged now lol. We took them out to a mates house and threw them on the back of his worked XY 351C, theres not much of em left!

Cruise into EF that doens't have ABS = pain in the ****.
its do-able (i did it in mine) but it involves adding wiring (splicing etc)

if the car has ABS then its dead easy

congrats on the new car!

U need to either buy a cruise loom from Ford (not sure if its available anymore)
a cruise loom from a wrecker
or strip a wiring loom (what i did)

i found it impossible to find info, but worked it out
its not that hard once u work it out :P

Picked the big girl up this afternoon, runs like a dream, but it's so SLOW at the moment! On closer inspection, it does have ABS, so cruise hopefully won't be to bad. What do I need to get? I'll probably get it when I'm in the big smoke next week.

Here's the pics guys. Complete with complimentary yellowing headlights and Daewoo hubcaps. I know the yellow headlights are a factory option, but i never knew about the Daewoo hubcaps......must've been a dealer fitted thing lol.

I am actually thinking about doing that!!

I've got just about all I need to do it, just need some injectors, wastegate and a fuel pump. I could just pull the head off it and throw the worked one on and get a workshop to plumb everything up. Dansedgli how much did it cost you to get all your gear installed??

I am seriously tempted!
