Thumbs up Porsche Profit Significant Increase

Luxury automaker Porsche raised its earnings forecast for the year on Tuesday, predicting that pretax profit will be "significantly" above last year's level amid solid sales.Luxury automaker Porsche raised its earnings forecast for the year on Tuesday, predicting that pretax profit will be "significantly" above last year's level amid solid sales.

In the first 10 months of the fiscal year ending July 31, revenue climbed to euro 5.98 billion ($A9.53 billion) from euro 5.96 billion ($A9.5 billion) in the year-earlier period.

The company delivered 79,540 vehicles - barely changed from 79,564 a year earlier, despite a dip in sales of the Cayenne SUV due to a model changeover.

Because Porsche recently increased the price of parts a huge amount world wide. A fuel pump that cost $180 a few years ago is now $500+. Prices have been raised across the board. My mechanic says that Porsche lowered prices a bit a number of years ago to get rid of the other suppliers, and now that that has been achieved, $'s!
