Default BA XR6T high speed crash

This is nuts!

Can't save the images (as they are hosted on LS1) but it just goes to show what a high speed crash can do to a car.

http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=141728

Stay safe in the wet everyone

Itll buff... yeah no it wont. Lucky the guy is alright, and as he said, on his own.

reading the thread, seems doing the trip regularly and possibly a tad tired might have played a role. Just a guess. I know I feel tired on that stretch. I used to do it daily to Bris, and that got old very quick.

No comment on how it happened which is interesting, and I do wonder how he managed to veer off the highway, perhaps a little spirited overtaking?

Good to hear the bloke was ok.
One of my good friends died the other day out in Collie after his cruiser smacked into a turning truck, it's a good thing to remind people about being totally alert and safe while driving.

He doesn't say he was doing 75kmh, just that he wasn't speeding in a 110kmh zone, but does say that he "was not driving in a manner best suited to the conditions", it was p****** it down....

Seems to me he is admitting he made a mistake and just wants to show people what can happen, good on him, I’m glad he's ok.....

75km is in reference to the distance he travels each way....

Edit: Beat me to it jdp80....lol

My condolences, that was a horrific accident.

Must be the week for it though, I got a text from a mate this afternoon to advise me that a mutual friend was the driver killed in that 3 car accident at Atwell at the Kwinana Fwy/Armadale Road intersection on Monday night.

Drive safe people.

Possibly the 'airbag not deployed' sticker, we have it on a roll in the RAR locker on our fire truck. They're standard issue.

has a few goodies under the hood that may be salvagable as well.

bosch 044 fuel pump, xforce 3.5" stainless exhaust, 4 inch stainless dump pipe and seimens 60lb injectors. the intercooler at the front looks buggered though. i'm sure the motor will pop up in an eseries soon enough. maybe i should buy it?
