Default WQ AM Radio reception issue

Hi all,

I am having isues with reception of am radio on my WQ 2007 fez.
Around Sydney inner area reception is ok but further out becomes very distorted. FM seems fine.

Any tips for improving reception ie: aerial check/change etc?
Are there ways of adding after market aerials?

Regards tesza

Yea unfortunately there isn't much you can do but that is what will make the biggest difference to your reception. Good luck with it and post up results.

you've possibly got the wrong glass vacuum tube capacitors.
RCA brands were the best of the day, way back then.

Cheers "burnz",
I got the keys to remove the unit from dash mount but can't fit the vac tubes as they are too tall for the case.
Looks like I will have to string an aerial from the radio to garage and put up with short range drives!
