in three months time im turning 17. So now im looking for a prime first car, and ive got my mind set on getting a MkI-MkII esky 2.0lt 4sp and either in pano or sedan form, (not really worried although pano prefered lol)
i think these things are awesome looking cars and are just wondering what i should look for if i go looing for one? ive seen panelvans for sale between $2000-$4000 the best for $4200 which was a purple 2.0ltr 4 speed panel van with murals on the side, dual exhaust, hood scoop (not tacky like hornet scoop) mags and stereo. I think that would be the best buy on the planet and wish i was working (start work in 2 weeks) anyways i just want to know some specs about the 2.0 ltrs (power, torque, 0-100, top speed **** like that) and also what problems these cars have thanks.

i dont know bout power figures of the escorts, i know that there top speed is around 160-170. i had a 2lt mk2 sedan for my first car with head work, cam, cranecams fireball ignition and extractors, exhaust. was a quick little thing. i had alot of fun in it good for cornering and beating commodores off the lights. the only thing that is bad for them and for a inexperienced driver in one is there brakes. they are terrible.

great cars, i had a MK2 2L sedan for my first car.
very good fun to drive, go and sound good. but yeah the brakes where shocking (probably a good thing if your still learning) and it took awhile to get used to the blinker on the wrong side (damn pommes)
