Love to chat on this one - I don't know of any sketches, can't recall seeing any for a long time on the interwebs. Hopefully our resident secret Ford posters that live in the design studios at Ford might pop a little pic of a tasty morsel or 3 onto this thread. Certainly the historic ones from FPV wouldn't be exposing any trade secrets.

WTF is with your attitude. Tune people up for providing more than you have then knock the designs...what can you knock up with MS paint?

Imo FG-X least lends itself to an FPV design theme. The corporate DNA is too strong , and Falcon is no longer an indigenous design that edges itself over the rest of the Ford range. At least nothing else in the Ford world highly resembled an EF, EA, BA, FG. The American styled equivalents that bore a passing resemblance looked like the ugly buck-teethed cousins of the handsomely styled Falcon. Last edited by malazn mafia; 24-05-2016 at 06:52 PM. |

I remember back in 2008 sketches of the FG FPV's were found in a garbage bin or something similar before official release. I'm sure there's a story in there somewhere!

Always thought the Motor FG-X GT concept looked excellent:
Not sure if it was just a talented artist's impression, or if there was an FPV connection linked to it somehow. . |

Couple of cool pics, I think I prefer Steve's sketch over the Motor pic a little, but mostly dueto the lines of the centre of the front spoiler. Tends to lean toward bit of B series, though inverted. The extra hint of E series in the roofline looks good to me too, even though I know that would have not been the case in real life.
FGPSI, lighten up a little please, you come into the thread demanding content, yet shoot it straight down when something is offered.. I'd hazard a bet that Steve's sketch is probably the only thing available for the time being. Give it a while and maybe we'll see some more, these things take time, and the blokes that usually share this stuff are bound by contracts etc. Ed

If you’re expecting Ford to release anything you’ll be wiring a long, long time. Why would they want to show you what could of been, but never was. .

Pretty much sums it up. They want people to forget they dropped Falcon, not remind people of what they are missing.

You have to understand the the value of intellectual property these days. designers work for Hours to differentiate a product, you don't just leak that out these days.
