This question has been asked many times and normally results in the thread being closed as fans from both will strongly debate that their choice of ride is the best.

You should drive both and feel which is right for you.
You should work out what you eventually want from the car to suit you.
You should work out financially which is the best for you.
You should buy the car that suits you, not what some stranger tells you is best for you.

Good luck with your choice

Here we go again, ratter pretty much summed it up.

Drive both and then pick which one you like better, we can't choose for you.

i'll leave it at that.

Depends on what youn want to do with it... how you drive etc.

when I wanted a track car, I went for something light. A nissan S15 200SX with 230kW @ wheels was what I built. It was brilliant, with minimal lag etc.

But if I wanted something to cruise in and give a bit of stick to I'd go V8.

If I was going to build a drag car, I'd choose a turbocharged v8 or 6.

Either way, just choose what you think will do what you want it to.

with such a limited budget id look at a low k AU3 XR8 and keep a bit of cash up your sleeve for some mods and maintenance. By the time you factor insurance, rego and stamp duty 15k won't get you much of a turbo ba, and it will probably be high k's and a money pit.

Yea but they're a nice car and if you can squint a bit they're not too bad!

Seriously though, you're better off with the lowest k's car you can afford, au3 XR8's were a nice car.

Hopefully this won't turn into an AU bashing free for all

Seriously though, with a budget of $15,000 you may as well forget any decent Turbo - will be a money pit in the waiting.

As 4vman has indicated, for the price a low k AU2 - AU3X8 would have to be the best choice - a windsor has a very nice note compared to no note.

Good luck though - but it's gotta be a V8.

Well as long as it does not turn into a BOSS & BA bashing free for all either.
