Default Red light camera problem.

ok guys, now help with me this...


I got just a letter saying i did a red light camera, when i cleary and have a few people to back me up that i was in a totally different area at the time( Hawthorn east infact) and this camera says it was the redlight at mount dandy and dorset intersection in kilsyth.

Now ive traced back and figured out everywere i was that night and everything i did, was not there..


anyone heard of camera's making mistakes before? or what? this is confusing me

I would ask them for a copy of the photo, that should settle it.

Yep you can get a copy of the photo. It either has a pictuire of your car there or not simple as that

Definately get the photo. This happens a fair bit with slightly obscured plates, so they take best guess!

but the thing is, how the hell could of my car not been there, like.. how do they have my licence plate number? ect ect...

There may have been an error with the camera's date and time settings. You may have ran the red at a different time to what the camera'a saying. Grab a photo and see what the go is.

i wouldn't be to worried about the money side of things compaired to the 3 points you lost, only 2 left for a year mate.

I'm always carefull when going through that intersection, i go through there 4-5 times per week always making sure im going slow enough to stop even if the lights turn amber. Not worth speeding up and attempting to run the amber/red in that situation.
