Default Does not want to start the first time...

Ok, well my car has not wanted to start about 3 times in the 1 year i have owned it.... i mentioned it at the 15000/1 year service, and they said they checked and reflashed all computers.... then today (car was in the sun on all occasions) the car did not want to start, a total of 3 times! First time the a/c was on, so i thought it was for that reason. Then, the next two times it happened again! I really dont understand the reason....

Well, my new light switch and spare wheel screw are in and ready to be installed, so i will mention that to them.

Also, after hard braking once (like a sudden stop) the next few times i hit the brakes, just before it stops they sound as though the are grinding. It says they checked the brakes, so im guessing they are good for the next service (30000km)......

Mine has does this start thing twice, so I just pump the gas like the old carby days (not so good for injected cars) and it does the trick!

Brakes, well I think that might be an issue with the pad compound.

at the end of the day, you end up changing most of these consumables, so you may as well do them right at the start

most of the time, they use quite a hard compound for the brake pads from the factory, i'd change these straight away

Try it, as the car is cranking the throttle will work. Yes it is electronic but as soon as it has power it can function.

The manual states that if the car doesn't start you should give it some accelerator to get it started.

My car has done this 2 times but both times it was dead. no starter motor only lights. To fix it I locked the car and unlocked it it then started. The immobliser may have just been confused

yeah this can happen when U crank the motor and it does not start...must be a fail safe as it assumes the car is trying to be started other than normally. Assuming normal start would get the engine to turn over.

Yep, I just turn the ignition off and then back on again and it seems fine.
