Hi guys, im currently going through the motions of buying a MKII Escort Pano Van and am just wondering how hard is it to get parts for the Escorts, and the 2lt engine's?
I need a set of seats, incliding rails, and a set of tail lights to start with. :P My 25 year old dream finally comes true, owning an Escort.

umm dunno about vic bro but its kinda getting hard to get them in SA :s
best getting aftamarket parts and parts from other cars that will fit in. good luck with it bro and post up some pics aye :P

What are your plans for it Kerry?
Did you do the water test (pour jug of water down the front of the windscreen) to check the bulkhead was okay? Patiently awaiting pics!!!

Plans to start with are just to get it rego'd, and drive it 90% of the time, instead of the ED.
No pics yet. I will pick it up in a few weeks.

Engine parts are easy to get Kerry, I have plenty of spares if you need them.

SA has next to no parts for eskis the wreckers just dont stock the parts you need any more, they got plenty of parts you dont need tho... |

I am just waiting for dad to get more kays on his Terry before we pick the van up. ST170, any chance of a pic? How much are you after, and have you got any other parts for sale. Your van is very tidy but a little out of my budget atm. Bens van gives me a clean slate to start with.

if you keep your eyes open, you shoudl be able to source parts easily enough. you can still get seats, but they will probably need retrimming. try getting to know the local escort expert/s in your state and also try classic ford forum. lots of guys on there (and a few of them are here) who know escorts inside out and have for sale and wanted sections. i have some van tail lights somewhere...cant remember how good they are, but they certainly werent buggered.

LOL @ timmeh. Is the stinking oversized sand pit really that bad?
Ive been lookin out for your car tim, thought it had been stolen about 2 weeks ago, driving down to warners bay and i saw it in a empty carpark with one guy next to it, so i went and inspected and it was that xmetal guy ian? anyway its still looking very nice, cya later champ
