Sounds reasonable, but there's too many variations for us to judge.
Do as many online quotes as possible.

At my last renewal I saved $700 by doing online quotes with similar companies and coverage. My previous company was going to charge me $700 extra for my loyalty.

But depends on what you call "mods" (fluffy dice on mirror?)

FFS you dont wont to spend money on 50 phone calls to try and save hundreds on yearly insurance. Most decent ph plans have unlimited calls anyway.

I took as a reference to saving time, Tonz, more so than $$$ on the phone calls.

My last 3 cars have all been modded and all were completed online at agreed value.

Never spoken to anyone outside claim time.

I'm Commbank at it took 10minutes when I got the R36.

Maybe you have certain criteria that is seen as more risky etc, not sure.

Well your last sentence is the problem.

Not your fault, but you basically have no rating or history.

You just said you've never used Insurance. I assumed you mean claim instead but you've been covered.

Mate it's too hard as we're all guessing. As I said Commbank Insure have been fine for me and so good luck.

Seems reasonable but remember insurance companies use suburbs and car type differently (yet similar)

My R36 agreed at 15 and I pay a 1000 and 300 excess.

Reason I changed as I wasn't happy with AAMI. My BA Turbo went up every year even though I didn't claim - explanation was due to review on steal rates and accidents. About 400 a year (extra) from memory.

Changed companies and haven't looked back. But again, I'm sure AAMI are ok too as lots of variables.

A forum isn't going to provide you with the answer, as noted there are way to many variables. You need to call around.

My preference is to never go with the cheapest, you'll regret it when you claim.
I make sure I get first option at buying the wreck and that all my mod's are listed.
