QLD Horsepower Challenge 12th August

This event will be a Horsepower Heros Competition and Fun Dyno-Day with Multipul classes to make things fair to all and fun. Lets see all the Hi Horsepower cars compete for the grand champion SWORD and Prize pack.

This is where it gets interesting for a change, instead of the normal trophies we'll be giving away to the winners in each class a Summernats style Sword mounted on a wooden mounting board.

Now this event if open to all makes of cars with no restrictions to power adders or horsepower and most importantly "Workshop Friendly" in other words other performance shops are also very welcome to come and compete in this Competition as well in there own class which will be called the Pro-tuners Class.

Classes so far planned

Rotary
4cyl Shootout mode 4
6cyl Shootout mode 6
8cyl Shootout mode 8
Forced Induction Class (turbo,nitrous,blown any engine size) Shootout Mode 8.1
Pro Tuners Class
GRAND CHAMPION OVERALL HIGHEST HP
Classes are not set in stone yet and are open to discussion.

Cost will be $50 for 2 runs and Dyno printout. Testing will be done in Shootout Mode ONLY!

There will be a Sausage Sizzle and drinks for a nominal cost.

Date 12th August starting at 8am and running until finished. Trophies will be presented at the conclusion of event.

The Grand Champion will walk away with a King Aurthur style Sword with mounting board and a Redcliffe Dyno Champion pack which includes a watch/pen and swiss knife kit, and various dvd's and a Cp Hat and T-shirt.

NOTE: Grand Champion will win the over all event hence will not be the winner of his/her entered class.

This event is going to be covered by several of the Auto Magazines.

So there'll also be a Best Presented on the day award which will be choosen by one of the magazine photographers.

Great News.

Total Driver have come on board for the dyno-day and will have a stand and a demo car there as well.

Queensland Streetcar Magazine have also come on board for the day, they'll have a stand there as well as Darren the Owner of the magazine will be along to look for some new feature cars, so if you have a tuff streetcar or show car or even nice cruiser bring it along and have a chat with Darren, and who knows you might be featured in a upcoming magazine

unfortunatley note i'm sorry as we don't use the dyno dynamics afr system as we have found it a little irregular, we run a seperate ugeo system which runs as a seperate unit

Hey everyone, obviously I have spent a fair bit of time at Redcliffe Dyno and I tell ya - even if you're not planing on competing on the day, it is well worth your while to come over and check out the place. Steve has the coolest toys and the vehicular talent that's booked in for the comp is going to be awesome to watch (and hear)

We'll definately be there - nothin beats a good old fashioned Dyno day!
