How long ago did he sell it? Feeling a bit gutted, I was compeletely intent on getting it.

Does anybody know where I can find another AU3 XR6 VCT with leather, full electrics and an xr50 kit? Or just any really good au3 XR6 as long as it has leather and VCT.

His car is in Melbourne now, so look out for it. Don't try to drag it though, as apart from being owned by Bucky so the motor doesn't know anything past 3000rpm, the new owner is a cop!

Genebaby is correct. The car is now located in Victoria. I got an email from the new owner a few days after he picked it up, and he is very happy with the purchase. Only had 95,500 and half on the clock with all the options straight from Factory

Was a sad day indeed to see it go, but it wasn't getting much use, weekends mainly, in the end I'm glad its gone somewhere she'll be looked after. The new owner is a ford man, so I know she'll be cared for.

Thanks. It has been a long absence, and I'm glad to be back. The focus has its moment's. Now its going great, I'm pretty happy with it.

I had the car on the market twice and I got a sale in the first few days, but I got cold feet and I took it off the market. It just took some time to gather the nerve to go through with it. In the end, I'm sad to see it go, but at least the person its going to is going to enjoy it as much as I have.

5 years I owned that car for, and its been the best and most reliable car I've owned. A lot can be said negatively about the AU looks wise, but its not till you own one and drive one that you really know just how good they are. Plus there are things you can do to smarten up the style if you don't like the stock appearence. As much as I complained about mine, it really was a pleasure to own and drive.

Thanks. I've not done anything with this car. I did have a range of issues with this car for probably the first 6 months, and this is why I am keeping it completely standard. Warranty is I value the most.

Problems like rattles and squeaks, broken lower engine pulley, broken drivers seat base to a gear box that would not hold 6th, then 4th and 2nd. After multiple visits to my local dealer, on 3 seperate occassions where the car stayed for a week, I was regretting the purchase and was looking to offload it. But the guys at the dealership worked on the car to fix all the problems, even though not fixed first time, they did persist until they got the problems sorted, and its totally transformed the car into something I am very happy with. I was pulling my hair out in the beginning ready to just write it off as a bad experience. But all good now.

If you are willing to travel
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2002-Ford-Fal...QQcmdZViewItem
If that is what you are after it may be worth it if you can get it down to proper money.

$18k is asking way a bit much for it.

Fully optioned AUIII XR6

Don't have to travel as far for the above. One of the most underrated and reliable cars to come out of the Ford stables.

It was good to catch up with you at the dyno day Bucky.
