I've seen that a few times over the years. Certainly nothing new but yeah you do think "Only in America.." but with a head shake and a facepalm.

they had a thing on tele the other night about a bloke selling 100 acre blocks and giving away a rifle of your choice worth a grand, and that was in aus
of course to get the rifle you would still need a gun licence etc to get it.

Don't forget that this is the Country where a few years ago a bank was giving away a free gun with every new account opened

The article has this as a quote: "my buyer is a gun owner". Obviously, you gave him one! Let's just remember this is coming from the country that has vending machines that sell the Canwich, a sandwich in a can that won't go off for almost a year. But the can is likely more nutritious than the sandwich so go figure.
I bet this truck shop's main customers are hicks who don't "need" a truck but will still buy one??

I think what he's saying is the buyers of those cars are most likely hunters or farmers or men who are recreational or game shooters. So most of them already own guns. Getting a free one when buying a truck is like offering a free service or extended warranty.

Tis cool, his meaning didn't escape me, but imagine an old granny coming in, and getting an AK47, loading it up and going "I'm goin' huntin' sonny boy!" haha

That would be like living in a country full of "safety" cameras where speeding is the ultimate crime against society and buying a car capable of doing more than 131km/h

You don't need a GT to drive anymore than you need an AK47 to shoot do you......

Sounds like a good idea to me. The way idiot car drivers drive around trucks, they deserve everything they get. Would make most idiots, think twice.
That's my grain of salt, lol. later.

Who cares?

Buyers can just get a different firearm or just take the cash. You can go buy a car today, talk the salesman down by $400, then go buy $400 worth of peanuts or throwing knives or nudie magazines.

Umm, the reason why pick up trucks are so popular in the states is because most of the states get a great deal of snowfall each year, and driving around in a low car means having to shovel the driveway every morning during winter. Further, most of the pick ups sold in the northern states are 4wd for this very reason. If I had to live there the first thing I'd do is get an F250 or a Lincoln Navigator.

As for owning a gun, who wouldn't if they could? If it weren't so PC and allegedly wrong in this country, who wouldn't want to go hunting?

As opposed to what happens when the wrong people get hold of high powered cars?

P.S. Personally I have no interest in owning an AK47. I have used several of them and they are inaccurate agricultural rubbish.

That guy who's selling Property with a free rifle is based in WA.
I love his mono-toned radio ads - "Buy a few acres off me and I'll throw in a gun"
He was intervied on am Radio the other morning, He is a gun dealer and if you dont want the gun he will knock $1000 off the property price.
He was saying he has a few blocks left, Cheap too I thought! at around $150,000 for the land. They must be big enough to fire a gun.
Trying to find him through Google but not having much luck.
